GIRLS: PERFORMANCE TEAM

The Performance Team incorporates the girls with the highest skill levels at the WVC. Entry to the team is based on skill levels and not age. Performance players should be able to overhead serve to chosen areas on court, have steady basic skills, and techniques such as digging and volleying accurately and confidently. Performance players are expected to attend at least 80% of all trainings and games.

They should have their allocated positions, and a sound understanding of the rotation, positioning and responsibilities to the team in game situations. The Performance team participates in the London League and has games most weeks. Their most important competition is the London Youth Games taking place normally in the beginning of June.

Practices are held twice a week with the games being conducted on the weekends.

Players in the Spikers team must be enthusiastic about volleyball and willing to practice basic drills and learn the foundations of positions and their responsibilities in game situations. They will mostly play 4v4 and will be entered to the London U15 Grand Prix.
